Fortunately for today’s parents, the music in the nursery doesn’t have to be just “ABC” and “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” The Laurie Berkner Band has been a leader in performing and recording “kindie rock” for children in the preschool generation; their latest album, Lullabies, is perfect for the infant and toddler set. Listen as Marie talks with Laurie about the band’s new album and the role of music in supporting child development, as well as educating, stimulating curiosity, and calming and soothing young children.
